JD Edwards Release 26 – January update with new Application Enhancements

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Release 26 continues to evolve. With the January update, Oracle is once again adding a series of targeted application enhancements that help organizations further optimize their processes, ensure compliance, and gain better insight into data.

The improvements affect multiple areas, from Sustainability, Procurement, and Sales to Manufacturing, Transportation Management, and Localizations. In this article, we highlight a number of updates and show where they add concrete value.

JD Edwards Sustainability Framework

The JD Edwards Sustainability Framework has been further expanded with new capabilities for structured recording and management of sustainability data. Organizations can now more easily record data for:

  • Purchased Goods and Services (Scope 3 – Category 1)
  • Waste Generated in Operations (Scope 3 – Category 5)
  • Water Withdrawal

By centrally recording and analyzing this data, we gain better insight into consumption, waste, and impact. This makes it possible to take targeted improvement measures, such as reducing waste streams or optimizing water use.

The result: better-informed sustainability choices, cost savings, and demonstrable progress toward ESG goals.

Procurement

Enterprise Automation – comprehensive Procure to Pay process model

The Procure to Pay Process Model within Enterprise Automation has been expanded to include receipts and voucher matching. Based on order activity rules and real-time data, JD Edwards now generates an end-to-end process flow: from requisition to voucher matching.

These visual process models provide immediate insight into tasks, dependencies, and bottlenecks within the P2P process. By better aligning internal processes with supplier activities, you increase operational efficiency and build stronger partnerships with suppliers.

Manufacturing

Validation of production numbers for Work Order Inventory Issues

For production environments with strict production numbering, a new processing option has been added to Work Order Inventory Issues. This allows you to determine whether the system displays a warning when there is insufficient stock for production-numbered components.

This enhancement eliminates manual checks and reduces the risk of errors, which directly saves time and increases reliability, especially in regulated or high-volume production environments.

Sales Order Management

Retrieve location information from RMA Defaults

The Return Material Authorization (RMA) Revisions program has been expanded with the ability to retrieve receiving, credit, and shipping locations from the RMA Defaults table.

This flexibility gives organizations more control over where location data comes from and makes it easier to tailor the RMA process to their own logistics setup.

Transportation Management

Rate Shopping integration with Oracle Transportation Management

JD Edwards continues to support integration with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM). With this update, the Rate Shopping components have been technically updated to remain compatible with OTM Cloud releases after 21C. This guarantees continuity and stability in transport and logistics processes.

Legislative, Regulatory & Localizations

EU – Payment Reconciliation according to CAMT.053

For European organizations, JD Edwards now supports CAMT.053, the latest ISO 20022 standard for bank statements. This makes it possible to process XML Bank-to-Customer Statement messages directly in EnterpriseOne, further simplifying payment reconciliation.
