The latest JD Edwards Application Enhancements from June 2025

The June 2025 JD Edwards update includes a series of improvements that will make your business processes more flexible, accurate and future-proof. These updates are practical, user-centric. Whether your focus is on automation, sustainability or operational efficiency, this update will help you optimize your business. We list the most important improvements for you.

Enterprise Automation: from process definitions to real-time insights

The new Process Definition application makes it easier to define and manage business processes without custom code. It allows you to mimic hard-coded subprocesses using UDC values, providing more flexibility in modeling workflows within Warehouse Management, Transportation and Fulfillment.

In addition, there is the new Order to Cash with Warehouse Process Model Template. Developed for the Enterprise Process Modeler tool, it allows you to visually map the entire sales and warehouse process based on real transaction data and configuration rules. The template also displays KPIs and metrics, giving you greater insight into order progress and warehouse performance at any critical time.

Sustainability: capture Scope 2 energy data more effectively

JD Edwards continues to invest in ESG support with enhancements to the Sustainability Framework. You can now more easily capture and manage Scope 2 Purchased Energy data within your processes. The system automatically populates activity sources, reducing manual entry and increasing data accuracy.

In addition, you can define your own sustainability activities so you can track energy consumption in a way that fits your organization's reporting and compliance requirements.

Fixed Assets: better error reporting for smooth period closure

The Fixed Asset Post Error Report (R12800E) now includes detailed errors of already booked batches - not just the open ones. When Fixed Assets Post is invoked through the Batch Post program, any errors are clearly reported and easily tracked. This helps finance teams identify and resolve errors faster, especially during month-end closing.

Capital Asset Management: smarter scheduling of work orders

A new enhancement allows JD Edwards to automatically calculate the scheduled end date for all maintenance and service work orders. This eliminates the need for manual date entry and reduces the chance of scheduling conflicts. This increases consistency in your maintenance planning and helps teams make more informed choices.

Human Capital Management: greater control over payroll check numbers

Managing check numbers in payroll gets easier. JD Edwards now supports automatic retrieval of the next available check number, based on the last number used per bank account. This is especially useful in multi-user environments or when working with multiple bank accounts. It prevents duplicate checks and provides more control over your payroll process.
