JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Release 26 Brings New Tools Enhancements
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Release 26 firmly continues the line of innovation. Whereas the Application Enhancements focused primarily on functional improvements, this update emphasizes the technology side of the platform. The new Tools Release offers more features for automation, debugging, monitoring and security. These features are all designed to improve the user experience and make management easier.
In this article, we discuss some Tools Enhancements within the themes of Digital Transformation, System Administration, Security and Platform Certifications.
Digital Transformation
Widgets with User Input
JD Edwards Release 26 makes it possible to make widgets more dynamic thanks to user input. Instead of creating dozens of widgets for different business units, you can now build one widget that lets the user provide input. This makes the information more personal and flexible. Moreover, it is easier to manage and provides a better interface for the end user.
Enterprise Automation Dashboard
The new Enterprise Automation Dashboard provides one central view of business processes, KPIs and performance data. You can now compare models, snapshots and process differences and zoom in on the underlying data. With this dashboard, you take a big step toward data-driven decision-making: no longer steering by gut feeling, but by facts that immediately show where processes can be improved.

Notifications on EnterpriseOne Page Tiles
Notifications are now visible directly on EnterpriseOne page tiles, similar to Watchlists. This allows you to see at a glance how many notifications or open tasks there are within a specific process, such as "Approve PO." This creates a clearer workflow and helps users respond faster to what really matters.
System Administration
Scheduler: Web interface
The JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Scheduler now has a Web interface that allows system administrators to manage, configure, monitor and maintain scheduled tasks - right from the Web client. This version provides the same functionality as the traditional Windows Development Client, but eliminates the need for local installation. In addition, the Web interface offers additional features, such as scheduling tasks based on the business day of the month, setting specific processing times, support for Virtual Batch Queues and enhanced high availability. This makes management more efficient, flexible and scalable.
Move and Improve Migration Toolkit
With the updated Move and Improve Toolkit, organizations can capture their existing JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environment and easily import it into an updated JD Edwards instance. The toolkit supports both improving the environment and moving it to another location, making migrations faster and easier.
Optimized Session Management
For organizations running JD Edwards on an Oracle Database, session management has been improved. Sessions are automatically terminated once the time limit is reached, freeing up resources faster. This ensures better performance and lower load on the database.
Support for Microsoft SQL Server Clustering
Organizations running JD Edwards on Microsoft SQL Server now benefit from support for Always On clustering, which provides higher availability and improved failover. This keeps the database accessible even during maintenance or outages.
Security
Support for 4096-bit certificates for LDAP over SSL
Security is an ongoing process, and JD Edwards is actively responding to it. Support for 4096-bit certificates for LDAP over SSL sets a new standard. Organizations can now rely on stronger encryption, ensuring that sensitive data is better protected, even in environments where compliance and reliability are important.
Platform Certifications
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne stays up-to-date with the latest platform versions and browser support. JD Edwards Release 26 is certified to include:
