New tools enhancements in JD Edwards Release 25

With Release 25, JD Edwards continues to evolve in a smart and purposeful way. This update includes practical tools enhancements that will help you automate more, gain better insight and simplify system management. These are valuable enhancements that will really make your daily work more efficient. In this article, we highlight some important updates within different themes. Let's look at these.

Getting a better grip on digital transformation

This release introduces features that make it easier to automate processes, visualize data and streamline operations. All fit within JD Edwards' low-code/no-code strategy, giving you more flexibility without added complexity.

EnterpriseOne Widgets
You're no longer limited to Watchlists based on numbers. Widgets now retrieve data from orchestrations or logic extensions so you can visualize real-time totals, averages and other important metrics. Use graphs or gauges to monitor, for example, the average approval time of purchase orders - all without programming.

My Tasks enhancements
The notification list is now even more powerful. It shows not only standard notifications, but also messages from orchestrations. In addition, tasks that require action are more clearly visible, allowing users to respond more quickly.

Safer editing of orchestrations
If a user tries to edit a shared orchestration without reserving it first, a warning now appears. This prevents unintended overwrites and lost work.

Translatable input labels.
Labels of input fields in orchestrations, notifications and logic extensions can now be displayed in multiple languages. This makes working in international environments much easier.

Better security across the platform

The security enhancements in Release 25 focus on better data security and easier, secure communication between components.

Support for HMACSHA256
JD Edwards now supports HMACSHA256 encryption for invoices and payment files. This provides a higher level of protection for sensitive financial data.

Automatic TLS configuration.
TLS communication between JD Edwards components is now configured automatically. This simplifies setup and ensures secure data transfers by default.

Smarter system management

Several improvements are aimed at easier system administration and less manual work.

Direct access to build logs
Administrators can now directly access logs and output files from web package builds, without having to search "Server Jobs." This speeds up deployments and makes the process more transparent.

Force Merge in Change Assistant
Change Assistant now includes a Force Merge option that lets you apply updates even if the objects already exist. Ideal for environments that want to remain "vanilla" or when preparing a code current approach.

Clear cache of EnterpriseOne Pages in Server Manager
You can now clear the cache of EnterpriseOne Pages with a single click through Server Manager. This allows you to see changes immediately, without having to restart services.

Renewed platform certifications

JD Edwards stays current with the latest technology so you can too. Release 25 includes updated certifications for common browsers, databases, operating systems and infrastructure components. Ready to run on modern platforms? JD Edwards supports it. Curious about the full list? Check it out here.
